About Mary Benson

Upon buying the Healing Bodywork Centre in 1999, Mary has been able to achieve her life long passion of healing and teaching. She holds certificates in a number of healing modalities including bodywork, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, and Reiki. She is a graduate of the three year Integrative Energy Healing program at Langara College. She has also studied Myofascial Release with John Barnes (levels 1-3 and fascial-pelvis). Mary is currently studying Cranial Sacral therapy with the Upledger Institute and is a student in Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

Mary is a gifted healer who brings her passion for the healing arts into her private practice. Mary is gentle and caring and encourages her clients to be at ease with themselves in her sacred healing environment. In her work with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, Mary works closely with power animals and spirit guides to facilitate each healing session.

As a client of Mary's you will be warmly assisted into a place of personal healing while being present in the sacred space she holds for you. Mary is compassionate with her clients and provides an opportunity for them to delve into their healing with mindful awareness. She is skillfully present, and grounded while guiding you to do your healing work.

Mary's treatments are a unique combination of her skills and education and she masterfully incorporates dialogue into each session, providing a therapeutic, client centered treatment for each individual. Her clients have a keen appreciation for her skills.

In her teaching career Mary has had a wide range of experiences and these have provided her with a wealth of knowledge, understanding and a caring loving nature. The diversity of her teaching adds to her resourcefulness and dedication to her student's learning. In classes Mary is focused and clear in her directions and she provides a learning environment which is both stimulating and interesting.
